Its development journey dates back to 1953, when Rongcheng County No.2 Shipyard was founded, marking the start of its shipbuilding career. As a backbone enterprise specialized in the design, construction and maintenance of steel fishing vessels in northern China, it was restructured into Rongcheng Haida Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. in 1998. In July 2025, the company completed comprehensive strategic upgrading and reorganization, officially establishing Shandong Fortune Shipbuilding Co., Ltd.

With a registered capital of 80 million RMB, the company is headquartered in Lidao Town, Rongcheng City, Weihai. Located at the eastern end of the Jiaodong Peninsula, it sits on the golden waterway of China's north-south shipping routes and is adjacent to the maritime trade hubs of Japan and South Korea, boasting a unique geographical advantage.
